About me

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Public Policy and Management at the University of Southern California. My focus is on bureaucratic politics and institutions, rulemaking, and the interactions between bureaucrats and interest groups.

My current research examines the role of bureaucratic discretion in setting policy and rules, as well as oversight of the bureaucracy particularly focused on the relationship between administrative agencies and interest groups as it relates to transparency and accountability.

My interests are motivated by my professional experience in policy and budget analysis at state and local levels of government, as well as policy research and advocacy for a non-profit organization.

I am also interested in applying machine learning techniques to analyze administrative records kept by government agencies.
